Marvel’s Midnight Suns release date revealed

This morning as a part of Summer Games Fest, Marvel’s Midnight Suns received an official release date. The tactical RPG superhero game from Firaxis Games will be launching on October 7, 2022. A cinematic trailer was also shown off.

According to the press release, the story features the demonic Lilith and her fearsome horde, who unite with the evil armies of Hydra, unleashing Marvel’s dark side. “As The Hunter, your mission is to lead an unlikely team of seasoned Super Heroes and dangerous supernatural warriors to victory. Can legends such as Doctor Strange, Iron Man, and Blade put aside their differences in the face of a growing apocalyptic threat? If you’re going to save the world, you’ll have to forge alliances and lead the team into battle as the legendary Midnight Suns – Earth’s last line of defense against the underworld.” says the press release.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns promises to feature an array of upgradeable characters and skills, allowing you to build your own version of The Hunter. The game overall is promising to offer a darker, more supernatural side to the Marvel universe, with a range of loved hero’s including Venom, Sabretooth and The Hulk. Considering Firaxis Games previous titles including strategy titles like XCOM, we’re certainly curious to see how this tactics style will play out with a superhero setting.

Marvel’s Midnight Suns will be launching on Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5 and PC on October 7, 2022.
