Redfall gameplay debut impresses at Xbox Showcase

Posted on June 13, 2022

A gameplay debut for Arkane’s Redfall opened the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase at this year’s event. We’ve been waiting on more information about this cooperative, vampire shooter for a year now with the game having its first showing almost exactly a year ago today. A delay announced earlier this year may have set things back a little, but we’re still very excited to get our hands on this one.

The new gameplay trailer showcased quite a horrifying world. We got to see our vampire foes in action, which seem to range from basic, easy-to-kill enemies to more specialised types. It appears like you can tackle the world guns-blazing or with a more stealth-oriented approach, and we also got to see our four playable characters in action. It looks like an exciting fusion of the Left 4 Dead-style of cooperative gameplay with some modern touches such as gear customisation and class abilities. Check out the new trailer below

Redfall is releasing from Arkane Studios who most recently released Deathloop. The game will be an Xbox console exclusive, also coming to PC and Game Pass, with a 2023 release date. What do you think of Redfall?
