Persona 3 Portable, Persona 4: Golden and Persona 5: Royal are heading not just to Xbox and PC later this year, but Nintendo Switch as well. The latest Nintendo Mini Direct has confirmed that the three acclaimed Atlus RPGs are heading to the portable platform starting from October of this year.
As a fitting capstone to their presentation, Nintendo announced the three games, previously exclusive to PlayStation consoles, will be heading to the Switch. This marks the return of portable upgraded ports Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4: Golden to a portable console. Persona 5: Royal has a confirmed release date, however the other games, which will be sold separately, will be released on later dates.
For fans of the Persona games, this is fantastic news. The gameplay loop of a Persona game of alternating between dungeon crawling and visual novel makes it a very good fit for portable play. The Switch should be a good home for the series when they arrive later in the year.
Persona 5: Royal will be available on the Nintendo Switch October 21st 2022. Persona 3 Portable and Persona 4: Golden will release on later dates.
