The next wave of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe’s DLC is out next month, and Nintendo has revealed the list of courses we can look forward to. It looks like a good selection of courses from previous games, including fan-favourite Waluigi Pinball. Most importantly though, it intoduces the all-new Sky-High Sundae course, a racetrack surrounding a delicious array of frozen desserts high up in the sky.
It might still be cold as heck here in Australia, but that doesn’t mean we can’t chill out to the sweet new course. You’re driving past giant desserts, driving on giant desserts, and drifting past dessert stalls on top of the giant desserts. Just the thought of it makes me wish it was Summer already! Sky-High Sundae is the cherry on top of the two new cups included in Wave 2 of the Mario Kart 8 Booster Course Pass DLC:
- Turnip Cup
- New York Minute from Mario Kart Tour
- Mario Circuit 3 from Super Mario Kart
- Kalimari Desert from Mario Kart 64
- Waluigi Pinball from Mario Kart DS
- Propeller Cup
- Sydney Sprint from Mario Kart Tour
- Snow Land from Mario Kart: Super Circuit
- Mushroom Gorge from Mario Kart Wii
- Sky-High Sundae (all new!)

Wave 2 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Booster Course Pass will launch on August 4, 2022. The Mario Kart 8 Deluxe DLC will continue over the next year and a half, and will total 48 tracks in all when it’s complete. The pass is an added purchase to the game, but if you have a Nintendo Online subscription, this DLC comes bundled in.
