At the annual Gamescom event a few days ago, SEGA unveiled a brand new story trailer for the upcoming Sonic Frontiers. So far it has been positively received, with Sonic fans expressing excitement at the sign of a potential new antagonist, not to mention Amy. Over the next few days, some more footage emerged online from the 15-minute demo of the game from the GamesCom show floor, but something seemed odd. More and more screenshots and videos appeared of scenes in the game that seemed to progress a little bit too far than a 15-minute demo should. Thanks to these videos, we now know that Big the Cat makes an appearance, as well as a whole cutscene with Eggman… so now we know he’ll be in the game, too.

The demo did not have its autosave feature disabled, according to visitors to the demo booth. This meant that although the game would finish after the time limit, the next player picked up right where the previous one left off, allowing the game to reveal much more than SEGA originally intended. The glitch has now been fixed, but not before players were able to fight a titan, and even meet knuckles!
Despite the fix, SEGA has banned any filming of the demo for the rest of Gamescom to be on the safe side. It looks like we won’t be seeing any more spoilers for Sonic Frontiers, but with a release date just around the corner on November 8th, we won’t have to wait long. Sonic Frontiers is coming to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles.
