After a leak earlier in the day, Ubisoft has officially revealed the next entry into the Assassin’s Creed franchise, Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
Announced on Twitter, Ubisoft also confirmed that more information would arrive at its Ubisoft Forward showcase next week. An image was revealed of the protagonist, who is rumoured to be Assassin’s Creed Valhalla’s Basim. This follows a leak from earlier in the day where key art from the new title appeared online.

The last entry into the franchise, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, released towards the end of 2020 as a launch title for both the PS5 and Xbox Series X. Since then, a large expansion called Dawn of Ragnarök launched earlier this year, adding a bulk of content to the already massive main experience. Rumours are that Mirage is set to be a smaller, more focused adventure, which is good news for those who felt the franchise was becoming bloated with its massive scale.
Considering some recent cancellations over at Ubisoft, it’s exciting to see arguably their most popular franchise coming back with another entry. Who knows what else they will show off at Ubisoft Forward next week?
We’ll have more on Assassin’s Creed Mirage once information becomes available – Ubisoft Forward takes place on September 11, at 5am AEST.
