At the recently concluded Sony State of Play, God of War Ragnarök was shown off in the most depth we have seen it yet. The story trailer showcases the next epic journey of Kratos and Atreus as their releationship progresses. Still finding themselves, the meaning behind their godliness, and the needs of their father son relationship, these two heroes clearly have a long path ahead.
We get to see gameplay moments as well and you can already see how that continuous camera shot first introduced in the game’s predecessor really amplifies the cinematography of the game. It’s all realised in such impressive motion, setting the game up for a potentially monumental release. Check out the trailer before.
Great to see more of that Norse mythology showcased through storytelling and visuals. God of War Ragnarök has a lot to live up to considering the success of 2018’s God of War which saw a PC release earlier this year. Hopefully the game is up to the task and can impress us once again.
God of War Ragnarök is set to release on November 11, 2022 to PS4 and PS5. Pre-orders are available on the official website.
