If you are in the mood for a fast-paced platformer that tests your reflexes, Chronicles of 2 Heroes could be just right for you. You take on the role of two siblings, Ayame and Kensei, as they seek to save Japan from the goddess Amaterasu. You must use both Ayame and Kensei’s skills to avoid obstacles and defeat enemies, which encourages you to learn their strengths and weaknesses. Each sibling has different fighting styles, with Ayame adopting the ninja arts while Kensei uses the stalwart samurai code.
The platformer takes great inspiration from Metroidvanias, with timing and obstacles to consider before you make your next move. You can also revisit previous areas to use new abilities and find new areas. There’s a lot to uncover as you play, and various ways to test your abilities. Several beings from Japanese myths will stand in your way, but practice and skill will help you overcome them.
