Company of Heroes 3 has nearly arrived on console, and is commemorating the launch with a massive competition here in Australia. Relic Entertainment and Five Star Games have partnered with Geelong-based fabricator Tagmods to produce a massive Company of Heroes-themed diorama, featuring a functional Xbox Series X console, valued at over $10,000 AUD. Players can enter the draw to win the diorama by telling Relic Entertainment what would be the best real-life application of the game’s Tactical Pause feature.
The diorama is massively intricate, featuring a US paratrooper landing on a semi-destroyed church, itself constructed around an Xbox Series X console. Around the church is a Wehrmacht tank firing on the church, flanked by German soldiers while the bodies of the dead and dying surround the scene. It’s incredibly detailed and well put-together, although one wonders how difficult it seems to be to access the console within the church if one wanted to insert a game disc or something.
“We wanted to create something special to celebrate the game’s epic battles and stunning visuals,” states Darren Macbeth, Managing Director at Five Star games. “This custom diorama, featuring a Series X console at its core, captures the intensity of Wehrmacht tanks and US paratroopers clashing in a dramatic scene straight out of the game. With painstaking attention to detail, we’ve brought a Company of Heroes battlefield to life in miniature form.”
If you are interested in winning the Company of Heroes 3 diorama, you must be over the age of 15 and an Australian resident. The competition will be run across Five Star Games’ social media platforms, and all you need to do is to submit your best real-life application of the game’s Tactical Pause feature. Entries open on the 30th of May, and run until midnight on June 13th. Company of Heroes 3 Console Edition comes out tomorrow, May 30th, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
