While we’re in the thick of June, the big month for gaming events, it seems that train isn’t stopping anytime soon. Unveiled at today’s 2023 Summer Game Fest, Annapurna Interactive announced that the Annapurna Interactive Showcase will be returning at the end of the month.
In the above teaser trailer, we see reels of some of the games the publishing studio has both put out in recent years and also is still known to be working on. Stray, Outer Wilds, Thirsty Suitors and Open Road to name a few. Accompanying these reels is the words “Come see what’s next.” This could very well indicate specific updates on what some of the developers behind some beloved indie games from the past few years are up to.
Concluding the trailer is what they promise as “one of our biggest announcements yet.” What does this mean? A sequel to Stray? Picking up a huge IP? We’ll have to wait a few more weeks to find out. The 2023 edition of the Annapurna Interactive Showcase airs on June 30 5 AM AEST. Stay tuned for more.
