Meta, formerly known as Facebook and the company behind the Meta Quest family of VR consoles have announced a subscription service. Via Meta Quest+, each month gamers can receive access to two new games to add to their library, akin to the PlayStation Plus subscription service. This new subscription service is available now and already offers two enticing games for July.
First up on the list is the highly well-regarded rhythm shooter game Pistol Whip. A must-have for any VR library. Accompanying this is Pixel Ripped 1995, a game where simulating retro video game playing and the real world combine in a flashy, bright experience. Those curious about the titles beyond this will be thankful to know the August games have already been revealed, containing Walkabout Mini Golf and arcade shooter Mothergunship: Forge.
This may not exactly be the more favoured Game Pass-style approach to a subscription service, providing a bounty of games from the get-go. However, if you’re after a library that will build over time, Meta Quest+ may very well be a good fit for your Quest device. It is worth noting that once you redeem the games they’re yours to keep provided you stay subscribed to the service.
Meta Quest+ is available now. For us Aussies, it’ll cost AU$89.99 per year or $12.99 per month. As an introductory offer, the first month of the service will cost $1.49AUD.
