Pikmin 4 is just under a month away and anticipation is high. Debuting at the Nintendo Direct that aired overnight, we saw a new look at the game along with the announcement that a playable demo will be out next week. Though, that’s not all. To tide fans or newcomers over til then, Pikmin 1+2 is available for purchase NOW from the Nintendo eShop.
The pair of games can be bought for AUD$69.95 or AUD$39.95 individually. If you’re a fan of traditional physical media then you’ll have to wait a little longer, with a physical version containing both games being slated to release on September 22.
Pikmin 1+2 isn’t the first time a big Nintendo port shadow dropped this year. Back in February, the excellent Metroid Prime Remastered appeared with absolute delight. With that, it’s an excellent time to be a Pikmin fan. Upon Pikmin 4’s launch on 21 July, all mainline games for the series are now available on the Switch. That’s fantastic news.
Stay tuned for more news from the Nintendo Direct that aired last night, including an announcement of a new Detective Pikachu game!
