After being announced months ago and Australia not being in the picture (yet), the PlayStation Portal now has an official release date and price down under.
The PlayStation Portal will be launching in Australia on February 2, 2024, for $329.95 AUD, and you can pre-order now.

The strange handheld device allows players to play PS5 games from their console via Remote Play, anywhere that Wi-Fi is available. The screen is 8 inches, with the display nestled between what looks like a DualSense controller split in half.
Reviews of the product have begun flowing in from overseas (where it’s available much sooner), and the critics have been mixed so far. Some are praising the device as a brilliant alternative that allows you to experience PS5 games in the palm of your hand, while others are questioning why it exists at all, and why it is missing fundamental features like Bluetooth.
Either way, if you’re interested in playing PlayStation 5 games in rooms other than where your TV is located or mobile phone with a Backbone controller, the PlayStation Portal could be something worth checking out.
You can pre-order the PlayStation Portal now at EB Games, JB Hi-Fi, or Amazon Australia.
