It’s time to get bloody excited because the trailer for the hugely anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI is now live. Rockstar Games has revealed that GTA VI will be released on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2025.
Don’t waste any time – check it out below:
The game takes place in the state of Leonida, home of the neon-soaked streets of Vice City in what is being called the “most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet.” In a first for the series, GTA VI will include a female lead as one of its dual protagonists, Lucia, which is brilliant to see. Vice City looks to be as sleazy as ever, complete with the seedy underbelly we have come to know and love from the controversial franchise.
“Grand Theft Auto VI continues our efforts to push the limits of what’s possible in highly immersive, story-driven open-world experiences,” said Sam Houser, Founder of Rockstar Games. “We’re thrilled to be able to share this new vision with players everywhere.”
Rockstar Games is celebrating its 25th anniversary this month, with the launch of Grand Theft Auto III back in 2001 truly changing the open-world genre forever. Grand Theft Auto V has continued to be a super success long after it launched, having sold over 190 million units to date.
Grand Theft Auto VI is set to release on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S in 2025.
