The much-anticipated sequel to Death Standing got a large gameplay reveal at this morning’s PlayStation State of Play. Complete with a fancy new subtitle, Death Stranding 2 On The Beach is set for release in 2025.
The deep-dive trailer shows much of the weirdness we can expect from Death Stranding 2, with Sam Bridges once again tasked with connecting the community, working for Drawbridge. He does so while carrying a creepy puppet (with a low frame rate, for some reason!?) and meets a mysterious new character who uses an electric guitar as a weapon that shoots electricity. Totally normal.
Visually, the game looks as impressive as you’d expect and seems to have some truly enormous environments to explore. With Norman Reedus returning as Sam, we’re in for a super wild ride, a trademark of the man behind the game, Hideo Kojima.
We’ve been chomping at the bit for more information on Death Stranding 2 since it was first announced at The Game Awards in 2021. 2025 can’t come soon enough.
