New trailer for ex-Bioshock dev’s upcoming game, Judas

Posted on February 2, 2024

Ghost Story Games, founded by renowned game developer Ken Levine, has just released a story trailer for their upcoming title Judas.

A part of the January 2024 PlayStation State of Play, the trailer offers a glimpse into the intricate world of Judas, set aboard the Mayflower, a sprawling spacefaring city with political intrigue and tension. Explore its corridors filled with characters whose motives and allegiances are supposedly constantly shifting.

In Judas, you take on the role of the titular character, navigating a complex world where alliances are crucial and betrayals are a constant threat. According to Levine, the game is centred around choices, offering a level of agency and immersion unlike anything seen before in their previous titles.

Known for his work on the beloved BioShock series, Levine promises a groundbreaking gaming experience where you will have the power to shape relationships and dictate the direction of the narrative.

Judas promises difficult choices that will shape the course of the story. Will you seek redemption and strive to repair the damage you’ve caused, or will you embrace chaos and let it all burn? The decision is yours to make, promising a deeply immersive and dynamic gaming experience.

We reported on the announcement of Judas way back in early December 2022. Since then, it’s been fairly quiet about the development of this game. While our first glimpse did feel very Bioshock, this story trailer is starting to show us how Judas is distinguishing itself from Levine’s previous work.

Judas is set to launch exclusively for the PlayStation 5 in the near future. Stay tuned for more updates as the release date approaches.
