Stellar Blade, a PS5 exclusive first revealed back in 2019, had a strong showing at the PlayStation State of Play this morning, with slick gameplay footage paired with a release date that’s pretty soon: April 26, 2024.
In this story-driven action adventure, you’ll need to slay alien monsters in fast-paced combat to save humanity from extinction.
Kim Hyung Tae, Director at Shift Up Corp, goes into more detail on the world of Stellar Blade in a new blog post. “Xion is connected to a semi-open world region called the Wasteland and the Great Desert, which harbor many secrets. You get to cross paths with many different people and go on adventures in these vast fields to fulfill Eve’s goals while also helping the citizens of Xion.”
“One of the missions involves gathering Hyper Cells, which are a massive source of energy sustaining Xion. These cells lie dormant throughout the fields, and Eve retrieves these Hyper Cells to turn Xion back to its original glory. This leads her to meet more characters along the way.”
Stellar Blade looks to be a unique and interesting addition to the PlayStation 5 lineup this year. We won’t have long until we can check it out ourselves.
