After a shockingly last-minute delay from its planned November 14, 2023 release date, Victorian-made Broken Roads has finally re-emerged with a new launch date. This much-anticipated, Australian Outback RPG is now arriving April 10 for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
The game’s previous delay wasn’t just your standard one because even reviewers had the game taken away from them as they were preparing their coverage. A strange situation where the decision to delay release was made so late in the game. The reason given at the time was “to allow for additional polish time and QA manpower plus resources to ensure a higher quality bar.”
With a new launch date comes a new trailer, check it out below!
In a press release sent to Checkpoint Gaming, Craig Ritchie, Game Director at Drop Bear Bytes shared an updated message:
“We appreciate the community’s patience in allowing us to give Broken Roads the polish and attention it needed to get to the finish line. Broken Roads is now in its best state ever, with more polish, more voice acting, over 400,000 words of dialogue and more than 150,000 end-game permutations. We hope you all have an amazing time playing it.”
For those interested in Broken Roads you can find more info on the game’s website or check it out on Steam. Broken Roads launches on April 10, 2024 for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox.
