Presented during The Triple-I Initiation showcase was a new video game being developed by Digital Sun called Cataclismo. It’s the team’s first self-published game after working with 11 bit studios on Moonlighter and with Riot Forge on The Mageseeker: A League of Legends Story. Differing from their previous releases but with an element of connective thread, Cataclismo is a LEGO-inspired real-time strategy game where you can build up your defences by day with brick-by-brick construction and then defend against the onslaught by night.
Part RTS, part base-builder and part tower defense, Cataclismo looks to have some really great ideas wrapped up in a beautiful art style. You can check the Showcase Trailer below.
The Triple-I Initiative is a new showcase event that brings together noteworthy indie dev studios for a set of back-to-back trailers to get you excited. Cataclismo is but one of the games in this year’s event, and you can find more info on The Triple-I Initiative website.
Cataclismo is set to release on July 16, 2024 and looks to bring with it a cavalcade of content, including a 30-hour campaign, as well as creative, survival, and skirmish modes for endless replayability. Looking for further information? Have a look at the developer gameplay video below.
