Geneforge 2 – Infestation makes an epic return for classic RPG fans

Geneforge 2 – Infestation has finally landed on PC and Mac, promising a remaster of the cult classic game from 2003. Developed by the indie game company Spiderweb Software, this release adds twists, turns, and a revamped UI to enhance the gaming experience.

With a successful Kickstarter campaign under its belt, Geneforge 2 – Infestation arrives with over $76,500 raised from more than 1,500 backers. This support has enabled Spiderweb Software to pack the game with new storylines, creations, and artifacts, ensuring over 50 hours of gameplay, multiple endings, and heaps of replayability. Whether you’re a seasoned fan of the series or a newcomer, there’s something for everyone.

Assume the role of the Shapers, powerful wizards that spawn creatures to fight in battle. Rebellion is afoot among the Shapers’ creations, leaving you to decide the fate of the world. You can choose to align with the mighty Shapers or harness forbidden powers to lead the rebels to freedom. The choice is yours.

Combat is a nuanced affair, allowing players to summon and dismiss creations on the fly. From fiery dinosaurs to thunderous pugilists, the array of monsters can add so much fun to the gameplay, rewarding players for their cunning and adaptability.

Jeff Vogel, the founder of Spiderweb Software, expressed his excitement for the release, saying, “Geneforge 2 was one of our biggest successes in our 30 years in this business.
