During June 2024’s Xbox Games Showcase in Los Angeles, we got an announcement of the first major expansion for Diablo IV. Titled Vessel of Hatred, this expansion is set to launch on 8 October 2024, and promises to build upon the dark, immersive world that captivated players last year.
Set immediately after the events of Diablo IV, Vessel of Hatred continues the dark narrative as you fight to save Neyrelle from Mephisto’s tightening grip on her soul. Journey deep into the ancient jungle to unravel Mephisto’s sinister plot while battling new foes. The fate of Neyrelle’s soul—and Sanctuary itself—rests in our hands.
The expansion introduces the Spiritborn, a new class ranked among the apex predators of the jungle. As a Spiritborn, you possess mystical synergies that awaken deep within the jungles of Nahantu. Embrace the power of the Spiritborn and their ethereal connections to ancient spirits, becoming a formidable force against the encroaching darkness.
The new region of Nahantu is a dense jungle region teeming with secrets, dangerous dungeons, strongholds, and ferocious demons. As you navigate this treacherous landscape, you will encounter warring tribes and uncover hidden lore that enriches the Diablo universe.
Vessel of Hatred promises significant updates for all Diablo IV players, including new class skills, paragon boards, legendary glyphs, and dungeon types. New Tree of Whispers activities will be introduced as well as mercenaries who can join your quest, each equipped with unique abilities to aid you in combat. A co-op PvE mode is coming that allows you to team up with friends to complete objectives and slay bosses in multi-level dungeons, earning valuable loot and rewards.
Diablo IV: Vessel of Hatred is releasing in Standard, Deluxe, and Ultimate Edition with varying bonuses on 8 October 2024. For more information, visit the Diablo IV website.
