Nine years since the franchise debut and three since the last entry, Life is Strange: Double Exposure is the next adventure story meshed with a world-changing superpower foray. This time, the series returns to a familiar face with Max Caulfield, the protagonist from the first game leading your journey once more.
Now in university, Max is the photographer-in-residence and has a life that has quieted down a bit. That is until her closest new friend Safi is found dead, murdered in the snow. Opening up an alternate reality to where Safi is alive, Max must travel between the two realms to work out who among those closest to her committed the horrible act.
Most interesting is that Chloe, Max’s other half appears nowhere in the trailer, perhaps implicating which ending of the original game is considered canon. Yes, it looks like another heartfelt journey awaits.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure releases on the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4 & 5 and PC on October 15 2024, with a Nintendo Switch release coming at a later date.
