Save the date as Marvel Games has announced the launch date for its upcoming FPS multiplayer hero title, Marvel Rivals. In addition, two more characters have been added to its roster, both of which will be very familiar to those who have been keeping up with the MCU. It won’t be long till players can duke it out on the field with their favourite heroes and villains.
In the brand new trailer released during Gamescom, a new location was introduced, which was described as “the source of vibranium.” In addition, it showcased Captain America and the Winter Soldier, duking it out on the battlefield. Not only does Bucky Barnes have a typical gun, but his arm can also be used as a weapon and an advantage on the field. On the other hand, Captain America’s gameplay was also showcased, where he got to use his shield as a range weapon, as well as his special abilities. The trailer ends with a Thanos variant that’s dressed like Doctor Doom.
Marvel Rivals is an upcoming 6v6 PVP game, where players play as their favourite Marvel characters from MCU, Comics, and beyond. It promises that all the heroes will be unlocked and free to play on launch day and beyond. Multiple heroes have already been introduced in the past, such as Venom, the Guardians of the Galaxy, and The Avengers, just to name a few. During the lead-up to its release, both PC and PlayStation opened up a closed beta test for those willing to try it out.
If you want to play this upcoming fighting game filled with your favourite Marvel heroes, Marvel Rivals will be released on PC, PS5, and Xbox X|S on December 6, 2024.
