Taking on the Axis Forces as a lone sniper is the core of Sniper Elite, bringing down vital infrastructure and assassinating VIPs. Since 2005, Karl Fairburne was the cool and collected sniper on these adventures. He travelled to several fronts during WW2 such as North Africa, France, Germany, and Italy. But in Sniper Elite: Resistance, you take control of sniper Harry Hawker. If you ever played cooperative multiplayer in Sniper Elite games, Harry is the second sniper a player can control. This time, he steps into the lead role and continues the push against the Germans in France.
Rumors of a powerful Axis weapon are spreading that could deliver a decisive defeat for the Allies in France. Harry must race against the clock to gain enough intel about the weapon while sabotaging the German efforts. He must cripple German infrastructure, stealthily sneak around camps, and take out important VIPs working on the rumored weapon.
Even if you have never seen or played as Harry, his actions are almost identical to Karl Fairburne. You aren’t working with a new rookie learning the job; Harry is just as capable as Karl in the field. It’s still up to you to learn about your surroundings and make the right move or your position is revealed to the enemies.
Sniper Elite: Resistance is coming out on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store in 2025. It will also be a Day One release on Xbox Game Pass.
