On October 10, Fed Square and Creative will once again be hosting Big Games Night Out, as part of Melbourne International Games Week’s 10th Anniversary. Thousands of game buffs, streamers and cosplayers will descend on Melbourne’s iconic Fed Square for the second year of the biggest night in games.

Big Games Night Out is a free, inclusive, all-ages event with something for everyone. You’ll be able to head down, play and compete in legendary and indie games – from arcade to esport, tabletop, and roleplay – or join family and friends in the Main Square for live music, DJs, performances and an unforgettable showcase of cosplay fashion.

Additionally, Big Games Night Out 2024 will present the global premiere of Blaktasia: Invasion of The Murk – the debut game from Naarm-based, Aboriginal-led studio GUCK slated for release in early 2025. “Blaktasia is a free, accessible, and educational mobile game adventure about restoring the bush with native animal encounters in a First Nations fantasy world informed by Country. An unforgettable, history-making launch, Fed Square’s façade will be lit up with large-scale, mesmerising projections of the game, providing an exclusive peek into the magical world, characters, and incredible story of the Blaktasia Universe in a live, interactive experience.”
