As Disney Lorcana popularity continues to grow, with a particularly strong showing at PAX Australia cementing it as a must-play for both TCG and Disney fans. With the sixth set, Azurite Sea, dropping soon, Checkpoint Gaming has been given the opportunity to reveal a new card from the upcoming set exclusively: Energy Blast.

This Rare card features an action, which allows you to banish a character of your choice, and then draw a card. Visually, it references Jafar’s staff, from Aladdin, the iconic cobra head shown here spitting out dangerous pink energy. It’s a cool design, with Jafar quoted “Did you really think I would fight fair?”
Energy Blast has a 7 cost, which is relatively expensive for an action, as it won’t be able to be used until later on in a match. However, it’s quite powerful; if you have an incredibly strong character card opposing you, this Action can remove it from play instantly. Then, being able to draw a fresh card on top of that? Pretty handy.
Action cards like these can really turn the tide in Disney Lorcana battles; so adding it into your deck could make for a nasty surprise on your opponent.
