After one of the most successful launches in franchise history, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 brings a fresh wave of intense multiplayer, zombies, and ranked play action in Season 01. The first season will be live on 15 November from 4am AEDT. Here’s everything you need to know to dive right in.
Five maps and one variant arrive in Season 01.
- Hideout – A 6v6 training ground with close-quarter and open-field options for flexible combat.
- Heirloom – Crash a Luttazzi art gallery in this small 2v2/6v6 map, ideal for fast-paced battles.
- Extraction – A medium-sized, helicopter-dominated map with tight spaces and sniper-friendly views.
- Hacienda (Mid-Season) – A returning fan-favourite set in a lavish estate with plenty of vantage points.
- Racket (Mid-Season) – A small underground vault for close-combat action in the Luttazzi’s lair.
- Festive Nuketown – Likely arriving in December 2024.
Grab the loot and defend your stash in the all-new Ransack Mode. In Ransack, you’ll collect gold bars from crates scattered across 6v6 maps. After gathering loot, bring it back to your team’s stash to secure it. Keep a close watch as the enemy can raid your stash, too. Winning requires a smart balance between looting and defending, so cohesive tactical planning is essential. Reach the score limit or hold the most gold when the time’s up, and your team claims victory.
Treyarch also delivers a crowd-pleaser with a fan-favourite Prop Hunt, plus festive Limited Time Modes coming in the mid-season. If you’re a ranked play fan, buckle up—Multiplayer Ranked Play launches soon after, complete with fresh rewards, updates, and more competitive play.
There will be more loadout options with a brand-new Perk and Scorestreak right from the start, plus look forward to another Perk and Wildcard arriving with the Mid-Season update, all adding fresh dynamics to Multiplayer.
Zombies fans can look forward to a mid-season content drop that introduces the medieval-themed “Citadelle des Morts” and a new “Directed Mode”. The latter is a supported version of the standard game mode that will help you run through easter eggs a lot quicker and easier with guidance.
There is plenty of additional content coming across all three maps, including:
- A Perk-A-Cola (with six new augments to unlock), also newly stocked at Der Wunderfizz machines in Liberty Falls and Terminus.
- A field upgrade (with six new augments to unlock).
- An ammo mod (also with six new augments to unlock).
- 18 new augments (nine major, nine minor) to research.
- Three new delicious flavours of GobbleGums!
- The Hand Cannon, a new craftable Support weapon.
- New Wonder Weapons.
- A new enemy type said to stalk the dark halls of the foreboding, ruinous keep in Citadelle des Morts.
The Call of Duty Blog shares so much more detail about the nuanced changes and Warzone updates, too. We’re looking forward to getting kicked off with the first Season of Black Ops 6 on 15 November.
