Sonic Racing is back on the track with a new entry, Sonic Racing Crossworlds, revealed at The Game Awards 2024. Continuing the trend of 2024 being SEGA’s favourite edgelord’s year, Shadow the Hedgehog takes the spotlight in this short teaser trailer.
After Sonic X Shadow Generations and the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie, it only makes sense for the blue blur to take a backseat for the (objectively) cooler hedgehog. In the trailer, we get a tiny glimpse of Shadow the Hedgehog and his iconic ride, the Dark Reaper. Shadow gets into his sick whip and speeds down the city street, leaving a trail of flames in his wake. He races into an unexplained rainbow portal and that’s it. That’s all we get, at least for now.
Even with such a small trailer, it’s more than enough to shift fans’ excitement into high gear for this upcoming Sonic Racing entry. Sonic Racing Crossworlds is making its way to PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S and Nintendo Switch. No release date has been mentioned, only that the game is simply coming soon so buckle up!
