Visit Westeros once more and face those behind the wall in Game of Thrones: Kingsroad. A trailer was released during The Game Awards 2024, reinviting players to explore Westeros like never before in this upcoming open-world RPG. The game was developed by Netmarble and Warner Bros Interactive and is scheduled to come out next year.
According to Game of Thrones lore, the Kingsroad is the longest and grandest highway in Westeros, connecting Castle Black to the Kings Landing. In the trailer, the iconic Game of Thrones theme plays as our main character visits various locations in Kings Landing and the Wall, with the opportunity to meet notable characters from the show. In addition, cinematic combat footage was shown, with our main character facing hordes of White Walkers, side by side with Jon Snow.
According to the game’s website, Game of Thrones Kingsroad is going to be an open-world RPG with three classes to choose from. The game will follow the Game of Thrones story, following the events since the Red Wedding and the death of King Robert Baratheon. Game of Thrones has released a variety of video games since the HBO series first aired in 2011. Excluding Kingsroad, 12 games have been released, with its most recent being Game of Thrones: Legends for iOS and web browsers.
Game of Thrones: Kingsroad is scheduled to come out in 2025 and will be available to play on Android and IOS.
