Lost Soul Aside release date is confirmed alongside new trailer

Posted on February 14, 2025

Lost Soul Aside, Ultizero Games’ long-awaited action-adventure RPG, now has both a new trailer and a confirmed release date.

For those who have followed the game’s development, the finish line is very much in sight. This accomplishment must be especially meaningful for Lost Soul Aside’s creator, Yang Bing, who originally started Lost Soul Aside as a solo project over a decade ago.

The latest trailer shown at PlayStation’s first State of Play for 2025 highlights the game’s fast-paced, fluid combat alongside snippets of its gorgeous sci-fi fantasy world. The combat has all the speed and spectacle reminiscent of stylish action titles like Bayonetta and Devil May Cry, with protagonist Kaser’s attacks, both his close-combat swordplay and ranged assaults, seemingly appearing to stem from his dragon-like companion, Arena.

Arena effortlessly transforms into weaponry for Kaser to wield, as well as tools for movement. He becomes wings on Kaser’s back, a path beneath his feet and even a speeding hoverboard to ride. The action is delightfully over the top, made even more thrilling by flashy VFX, towering set pieces, unique arenas and an array of intriguing enemies.

Pre-orders will open very soon, on February 19, with bonus digital pre-order goodies and a digital deluxe option available. More about pre-order bonuses and a breakdown of the contents of the trailer from Yang Bing can be found on the official PlayStation blog post here.

Lost Soul Aside is officially set to launch on May 30, 2025, for both PlayStation 5 and PC.
