Zero Latency levels up VR combat with Threat: Lethal

Posted on March 9, 2025

Do you have what it takes to challenge Zero Latency VR’s newest (and toughest) game mode, Threat: Lethal? The Australian-born free-roam virtual reality destination is launching its brand new experience that pushes both VR combat and its participants to the absolute limit.

Threat: Lethal is the latest game mode for the award-winning Space Marine VR – Defenders of Avarax experience. The original experience launched in September of 2024 and quickly became Zero Latency VR’s flagship experience. The new game mode is designed to test the teamwork of challengers like never before. Just being a huge, powerful Space Marine won’t cut it anymore. Strategic play is required. Players will need to carefully revive fallen comrades, avoid friendly fire and master crowd control with newly introduced weaponry—all while fending off the Tyranids, a relentless insectoid alien force.

Underestimate the difficulty that Threat: Lethal imposes at your own peril. Tim Ruse, CEO of Zero Latency VR, declared that “faced with cunning adversaries, strategic play, and critical team interactions, it represents the zenith of immersive VR warfare.” As each checkpoint is conquered, the intensity ramps up. The experience offers more enemies than ever before, meaning defeat is a very real risk for teams. Each failure resets the level, but it’s not all doom and gloom. A failure offers a chance to refine the group’s tactics and fortify team unity. Both are essential if you’re to stand any chance at repelling the Tyranid threat.

Gather your squad and rise to the occasion at any Zero Latency VR venue globally. For Melbourne locals specifically, the newest Zero Latency VR venue in South Morang is now open! Book now and show the Tyranids exactly what your team is made of in the thrilling Space Machine VR – Threat: Lethal experience from March 12th 2025.
