With Elden Ring Nightreign just around the corner, FromSoftware has revealed a new playable class for fans to get excited about. A new trailer has dropped showcasing the Executor, one of the eight playable classes available at launch.
The Executor brings a brutal kind of elegance to the battlefield. Armed with a cursed, katana-style blade, they deliver fast, precise strikes, slicing through enemies with deadly efficiency. They’re half poised samurai and half ruthless executioner, combining graceful movement with raw power.
It’s not all about offence, though. The trailer highlights the Executor’s defensive capabilities, too. There’s a moment where they are beset by a relentless combo of attacks, over and over. Each attack is deflected by the Executor, who stands their ground, blow after blow, before delivering a devastating counterattack.
Then, if that’s not enough, the Executor is shown transforming into a massive beast-like creature. This monstrous form appears to alter their playstyle and moveset, shifting from swordplay to raw, primordial might. Whether you like precision or overwhelming brute force, the Executor looks ready to deliver both.
This new class reveal only adds more fire to Nightreign’s momentum pre-launch. Elden Ring Nightreign launches on May 30 for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One and the Xbox Series X|S consoles, so it won’t be long till we get to see for ourselves exactly how well the Executor handles hunting the Nightlord.
