Part of today’s PlayStation State of Play unveiled a new chilling trailer and release date for the anticipated horror title Silent Hill f. It’s coming September 25, 2025, which means we don’t have very long to wait at all!
The trailer shows off a truly horrifying world, with main character Hinako Shimizu living a very normal life in 1960s Japan, before a mysterious fog takes over and… well… things go downhill from there.
The weird, marionette-doll creatures are disgusting and move with a distinctive jankiness that gives me the creeps. The title looks to be quite gory, dark and intense, which is fantastic to see. Silent Hill has always had its own creative spin on horror, and this looks to be no different. In an official blog post, Konami Producer Motoi Okamoto says that “the game features unique combat. The encounters are as challenging as the obstacles that Hinako must overcome in life. The combat will have a heavier focus on melee and be more action-oriented compared to last year’s Silent Hill 2.”
Silent Hill is experiencing a resurgence as a franchise; after dropping off for a while, last year’s Silent Hill 2 Remake was positively received by critics and fans alike, and now Silent Hill f looks to terrify a whole new generation of horror fans.
Silent Hill f launches on September 25 for PS5 and PC.
