UNBEATABLE will have you finding your song and doing crimes this November

Fresh off of 2025 Gamescom: Opening Night Live, we got a bevy of game announcements and reveals. A new LEGO Batman game and a project from one of the point-and-click genre’s greatest creators are just a few of the things you can look forward to. Me? I’m most looking forward to UNBEATABLE, a game officially revealed last year but now set with a release date for later this year.

In the game’s final trailer, the vocalist in the backing song harmonises the line “You’re just a part of my life.” Frankly, I can’t wait for it to be a part of my life.

UNBEATABLE is a rhythm-adventure game that is heavily inspired by anime such as FLCL. It’s an affair set in an alternate 1999 where the world is in disarray as music is illegal. You, a fiery pink-haired girl called Beat and your lively band, must go on the run, playing big concerts, committing crimes, punching cops… and then running from said cops. It’s incredibly punk. It’s bursting with flavour and has what’s said to be a 6-8 hour campaign filled with “A whole entire double album” worth of original songs, along with an additional arcade mode. It’s a stylish rhythm game you’ll want to keep your eyes on.

Thankfully, you won’t have to wait that long. UNBEATABLE releases on November 6, 2025, for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Wishlist it, check it out when it drops and thank me later.
