Video Game Psychology 102

Posted on July 10, 2016

Listen to the show!

This week, we are once again in session with our resident psychologist Mary-Beth, as Archer, Meags, Tom and Jakob are on board to discuss reward systems in video games. There’s certianly all kinds of different reasons why people play video games, whether it be for the storyline, for the friends you will form or just pure enjoyment of a game type. But why are some games more enjoyable than others? What keeps you playing certain games even if you’re basically done with them? The team breaks it down and talks about what makes gaming so obsessive and how reward systems are created in a tactic to keep people playing over and over and over again! Also on the show this week, Jakob delivers his verdict on The Technomancer and Luke has fallen in love with the gorgeous action RPG Odin Sphere Leifthrasir. It’s all here in another fun episode of your favourite gaming show!
