Checkpoint Intimates is a new weekly podcast where two members of the team go one-on-one on a topic that they both feel strongly about, talking in a more deeper and, yes, intimate context.
On this episode, Elliot and Viv discuss the idea of emulation and the pros and cons of it. Emulation is when there is a playable version of a game available on PC that would not normally be available, without requiring the gamer to have the console itself. It raises some legal questions, although there are some older games that aren’t available any other way… so what does this mean morally? Is it alright to emulate certain games? Do some people take it too far?
