Let’s get competitive!

Posted on August 8, 2017

Listen to the show!

This week on the show… how competitive are you? More importantly, what exactly defines a competitive video game? Is it just a game where there is a winner and a loser? Or is it something more serious, like something that can be well-balanced and played as part of a tournament on the big stage? Does it count as truly competitive if there are other ways to secure victory (such as pay-to-win)? Join Luke, Elliot, Rachel and Kieren as they talk about the games they think of when it comes to competitive play, and discuss whether their methods truly have merit or not. Also on this episode, we talk the news of the week including a video game reality show (really!) and Rachel gives us her verdict on Hey! Pikmin for the Nintendo 3DS! Don’t miss any of the action!

Kieren Munn

A typical gaymer, I enjoy most RPG's, Platformers, and Fighting games. I started gaming early with Sonic the Hedgehog, Mortal Kombat and Alex the Kidd on my Sega Mega Drive. This started a "healthy" obsession that has spanned 5 generations of consoles, and I won't be stopping anytime soon.
