Listen to the show!
Checkpoint Intimates is a weekly podcast where two members of the team go one-on-one on a topic that they both feel strongly about, talking in a more deeper and, yes, intimate context.
In this episode, Elliot and Cam are on board to discuss evolution in video games; specifically, when a game launches to a not-so-awesome reception, but through long-term developer support and updates it ends up being a huge success! Some games have even gone as far as to add entirely different game modes or changed their base game completely in order to keep things fresh and exciting (Fortnite: Battle Royale, anyone?).
They talk about how the times where there have been expansions, patches or total re-designs that have turned a mediocre product into something considerably more successful (critically or commercially), including the aforementioned Fortnite, Diablo 3, FFXIV, Civilziation V, Warframe, Destiny and more! Which games have you seen go through an evolution?
