Villainous Villains

Listen to the show!

This week on the show, we’re here to talk about one of the most important and interesting parts of any video game narrative… the VILLAIN! Yes, throughout history there have been some iconic villains. Funnily enough, even though they’re supposed to be the bad guys, they often stand out as more memorable than many of the protagonists and “heroes” that we are supposed to associate with. Join Luke, Cam, Jason and Omi as they discuss what makes villains so interesting, including what defines them as villainous in the first place. We also talk about the role of gender when it comes to villains, how bad guys often have traits linked with the LGBT+ community and what that means, plus the flip-side, when villains end up becoming heroes… and vice versa! We also list off some of our favourites… of course! Don’t miss any of the action and don’t forget to check out the first half of this podcast to keep up to date!
