The Social Age of Gaming

Posted on September 6, 2018

Listen to the show!

This week on the show, we talk about the idea of being social with video games; specifically, how do your friends factor in when it comes to your gaming habits? Whether it’s online or on the couch, video games with friends can be some of the most fun you can have with a controller; but there are certainly times where playing on your own is just as enjoyable – if not more. Join Luke, Elliot, Cam and Rach as they talk about the way they interact with their friends when playing video games, online squads and when a team-mate lets you down, or when you have a friend that has a completely different style of play to you. We discuss the changes between couch co-op and online play and how that’s evolved, along with sharing some stories of our own social video game experiences. Luke has also been searching tombs and finding treasure in 1930’s inspired co-op shooter Strange Brigade! Don’t miss any of the action and don’t forget to check out the first half of this podcast to keep up to date!
