Yoshi’s Crafted World boxes up a demo ahead of release

Posted on February 14, 2019

Upcoming title Yoshi’s Crafted World was another highlight of today’s Nintendo Direct, showcasing some new information on the adorable platformer as well as great news for those looking forward to playing it.

As shown previously, the game will take great advantage of perspective within each stage,  allowing terrain to be flipped over, and giving Yoshi the ability to fire eggs not just around his immediate area but also the background. This new dimension to his signature move proves a necessity during gameplay, as we see Yoshi contending with Shy Guy fighter pilots who’ve generously painted a target upon their planes, and a 3D racing segment that sees the dinosaur riding atop a car made of a bottle, caps and some straws.

Some new gameplay features were also shown during the Direct segment,  with the ability to pilot a destructive Yoshi mech, as well as being able to unlock costumes that can offer extra protection during levels. Given the appearance of some tricky bosses who look set to offer quite a challenge, these may prove to be a life-saver.

Finally, it’s been announced that the game is receiving a demo that can be downloaded from the eShop right now. This demo features the first course of the game, which should make for a great tease of what’s to come.

Yoshi’s Crafted World is set to release on March 29th this year, so the wait is almost over.
