Aeolis Tournament

Date (Aus): 16/07/2020
Genre:
Action / Sports
Platforms: PC, Switch

“Aeolis Tournament is a 3D party action game where up to 8 players compete in various game modes based on a simple one-button mechanic. Characters use an air cannon to control the power of the wind and affect their surroundings. It features physics-based gameplay, a tournament mode and local and online multiplayer play.

The core of the gameplay is based on a simple one-button mechanic. Characters hold an air cannon that allows them to vacuum air in and release it as a blast. It can be used in various ways: pushing an opponent, grabbing, holding and throwing items as projectiles, navigating on slippery surfaces by giving yourself a push, etc…

That mechanic is creatively used in each game mode and helped design games with a fresh feel despite being relatively familiar premises. It adds a depth layer to seemingly simple games.”

Out of battle, Mario can use the arm-extending 1,000-Fold Arms ability in specific spots to interact with the landscape to pull, peel, hit, and more! Ghost of Tsushima

In what is actually a fairly big week of game releases, Ghost of Tsushima still manages to stand out. This first party Sony title has been enticing and exciting us ever since it was revealed back in 2017. The game boasts tight samurai combat, gorgeous visuals, a Feudal Japan setting, and a big open world ready to be explored. Everything we have seen so far has got us very excited to experience this beautiful game.

As one of the last big releases for the PS4, Ghost of Tsushima has an opportunity to be somewhat of a swansong for this incredibly successful generation of Sony consoles. It’s also following a set of phenomenal first-party game releases from Sony this year (and this generation!) so it has a lot of expectation to live up to. Personally I can’t wait to experience the game and see what it has to offer.

What new titles are you most excited for this week? Be sure to let us know!

Don’t forget last week’s Coming Out to make sure you didn’t miss anything.
