After rumors and speculation when Rockstar Games released some not-too-subtle red themed images earlier this week, Red Dead Redemption 2 has been confirmed.
There is not much information yet, except that it is scheduled for release towards the end of 2017 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One systems.
The announcement from Rockstar describes the highly anticipated sequel as: “An epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland, the game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.” This would explain why they have registered Red Dead Online as a domain name, we assume.
A trailer is promised to be released later this week, specifically 2am this Friday for us Aussies. Stay tuned to Checkpoint for more info on Red Dead Redemption 2 as it develops!
