Bethesda have just announced that a Morrowind expansion is heading to The Elder Scrolls Online. The expansion will bring a plethora of new features including a new player class, a new PvP mode (Battlegrounds), a new Trial, and over 30 hours of adventure-filled content to an all new location.
The exciting announcement is accompanied by an equally exciting cinematic trailer to throw you into the world of Morrowind.
The expansion will see players return to the island of Vvardenfell where they must help Vivec (Vvardenfell’s Guardian) save the world from a deadly, Daedric threat. Your surroundings will be familiar to those who had played The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind with players travelling to locations such as the volcanic Ashlands, the mushroom-filled forests, and the streets of Vivec City.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind adds a new class to the game for the first time since its launch. The warden class wields powerful nature-based magic and has a fearless bear companion to keep them safe. A developer post onto The Elder Scrolls Online website also outlined details of the upcoming PvP mode and Trial. “Enter the Telvanni tower of Tel Fyr with your strongest allies to battle your way through the Halls of Fabrication, and explore a part of the Clockwork City in a challenging new 12-player Trial. Or, you can head to the Ashlands to take on fellow players in exciting 4v4v4 battles in arena-like environments.”
For those who have yet to try The Elder Scrolls Online, now may be the perfect time. A purchase of The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind will come with all previously released content. Alternatively, for those who are already ESO veterans, you can buy the Morrowind update and carry your previous character across.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Morrowind will arrive on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on June 6.
