Overwatch’s Heroes of the Storm skins will come to loot boxes

Blizzard has erased the fears of many Overwatch players by announcing that the event specific skins currently available as part of the Nexus event in Heroes of the Storm will be coming to the loot boxes in Overwatch.

The Officer D.Va skin and some new icons and sprays based on Officer D.Va will be available in regular loot boxes. Oni Genji will also be available, giving players another shot at getting the skin, which was originally only available during the first Nexus Challenge last year.

“We completely understand that there are some players who do not own or have access to a PC to play Heroes of the Storm. Because of this, we plan to add both the Oni Genji skin and the Officer D.Va skin to the normal, base Overwatch loot box at some point in the future”, wrote game director, Jeff Kaplan. [source]

“With that said, I still encourage anyone with access to a PC to play the Nexus Challenge. Heroes of the Storm is an amazing game and you’ll unlock those skins for free and before anyone else.”

As for when exactly this will come about we don’t know, but there is still time to snatch them up over on Heroes of The Storm for the next 4 weeks.
