Ubisoft has officially announced Far Cry 5, the newest iteration of their open world shooter that sees you capturing outposts and strongholds to take back the power of the land, while using the resources around you to kit yourself out. Ubisoft announced it just before their earnings call via Twitter, with no details other than the title.  They confirmed it would be released within the next year.

No other details other than the name of the game has been revealed yet, with Ubisoft teasing us and asking if we’re ready.

Ubisoft have also confirmed the existence of the sequel to their open world driving sim The Crew, The Crew 2, along with a new Assassins Creed and of course South Park: The Fractured But Whole. It’s looking like we’re going to be spoiled for choice in the coming 12 months when it comes to Ubisoft.

With some big sequels in the works and the massively anticipated and delay-ridden South Park, which one are you excited for most? We expect to find out more about these titles at E3, which is just a couple of weeks away. More updates right here on Checkpoint as we learn more.
