Open world racing game Forza Horizon 3 received it’s latest DLC this week. The new Hot Wheels expansion was announced by Microsoft on April 26th then released a mere 3 weeks later… and it it looks absolutely insane.
Included in the new Hot Wheels pack are 10 new cars based on classic Hot Wheels designs, as well as an additional barn find. It also features 6 new themed islands located off the coast of Australia, all connected by a network of Hot Wheels tracks made up of loops, corkscrews and the like.
The last major DLC Blizzard Mountain was released in December and stayed close to the traditional off road racing style of the main game. The release of this new pack presents a refreshing change of pace while emphasising the arcade racer aspects of gameplay.
For those unfamiliar with the series. Forza Horizon 3 is an open world racing game based around the fictional Horizon Festival. In his review, Luke said: “Forza Horizon 3 is the most engaging open-world racing game I’ve ever experienced. From the moment it begins, the sense of adventure and fun that comes along with it is unmatched. It has a clear identity; one that is loud, bold and filled to the brim with attitude.”
If you have ever wondered what it would be like to drive a Hot Wheels car, now appears to be your chance to find out.
