Following its 2.0 update, D.Va from Overwatch is now playable in the public test realm for Heroes of the Storm, Blizzard’s all-star MOBA. D.Va is joining fellow Overwatch ensemble characters: Genji, Tracer, Zarya and Lucio who have all been implemented into the Heroes roster.
The official Heroes of the Storm blog has released the full details on D.Va as a character within the Heroes universe, outlining how she will operate. Similarly to her Overwatch abilities, both her ‘Mech’ mode and her ‘Pilot’ mode will have separate abilities. Speed and defensive abilities seem to be her main load-out, with D.Va retaining her tank status.
The self destruct ability of her Mech has remained, dealing area of effect damage. And her Pilot mode has a ‘Big Shot’ ranged attack that harms all enemies in a line.
Fans have been waiting for D.Va to be added to HotS since the Overwatch Event begun offering incentives such as the new D.Va skin in Overwatch for playing HotS matches online.
