First announced at this year’s E3 conference, Horizon: Zero Dawn’s first DLC The Frozen Wilds has been given a release date of November 7th, 2017! Aside from several post-launch updates, such as a New Game + and higher difficulty setting, this marks the first major update to Horizon since it’s release in February. The setting of The Frozen Wilds is, well, just that. The expansion takes Aloy to a wild winter “wonderland” filled with more dinosaurs and enemies to grapple, trap, and take control of. The brand new area consists of new story content, side quests, and more.
November 7th is also the release date of the Xbox One X. Is Sony engaging in some cheeky competition to try and steal the limelight away from Microsoft? Perhaps, but nevertheless fans of Horizon: Zero Dawn are sure to be itching to jump back in for more stealthy dinosaur take-downs with everyone’s new favourite PlayStation mascot.
