Playstation Australia wants you to win real life platinum trophies

Posted on September 26, 2017

Look me up on the PlayStation Network, I have only two Platinum Trophies — and I totally only deserve one of them. To be honest I have never been much of a PSN Trophy hunter, but gosh Sony are doing the darnedest to turn me into one. PlayStation Australia has announced their new competition rewards successful hunters with real life Platinum Trophies.

Titled PlayStation Plus Platinum Hunter, the competition is described as “a competition for gaming connoisseurs to play, compete and be rewarded for their hours of effort to unlock every in-game trophy.” PlayStation Australia will be offering 4 dedicated fans the chance to take home one of the gaudy but completely necessary beauties.

To win players need to be the first to obtain the Platinum trophy in four specific titles, this is done by obtaining all other trophies in the game. Kicking the event off on September 26th will be FIFA 18. Then on October 18th round 2 begins with Gran Turismo Sport, followed closely by Call of Duty: WWII on November 3rd. The forth and final game is yet to be revealed but it’s safe to assume we’ll see it in December.

Once you’ve won your digital trophy grab a screenshot and share on social media, just be sure to use the hashtag #PlusPlatinumHunters and tag Playstation Australia. You can have a look through more details about the competition on the Official Playstation Australia page. Now excuse me, I have to weigh up learning how to play FIFA 18 or wait to see if I can smash the secret fourth game — gosh that is one sexy trophy.
